About Us

The Morris Grand Gallery is an international destination for Fine Art, Jewelry, Minerals and Gifts. Whether visiting our newly renovated historic sandstone building in Hot Springs, South Dakota or browsing our website, we invite you to indulge your senses and look for unique and one of a kind treasures.

Morris Grand Gallery strives to bring together new and exciting local artists with solid works from established artists of the world.

And don't miss our Morris Grand Collection! Drawing on the original purpose of our building, the Morris Grand Opera House, we have put together a surprising collection of jewelry and paintings that cost less but evoke the grand illusion of the theater.

The Morris Grand Theater was built in 1911 by Morris Block, a Russian, Jewish immigrant, who was a jeweler. At that time Hot Springs was one of the premier tourist destinations in our country with the healing warm natural springs and the breathtaking natural resources. Morris took the potential in Hot Springs to build his dream and although he died 2 years after completing the building, it would live on as the host of opera, theater, vaudeville, and movies.
